Let me start off by saying that I am dreadfully sorry that I have no pictures so I will try my best to immerse you in the scene.
My family and I had just gotten to Disneyland Paris for the first time since I was 1. The first ride we decided to ride? Pirates of the Caribbean. Right at the scene when the pirates are trying to get the dog to give them the keys to unlock the prison cell our boat stops. It literally ran into the wall. Apparently the switch track didn't switch. NOT GOOD!!

Now I knew from people ahead of us screaming that we were supposed to go down a small hill if our boat had made the turn, so of course I was freaking out thinking, "We're going to go down the hill and not stop and something bad is going to happen!!!"
Our boat just sat there for about 15 minutes before anyone came on the intercom. Now at that point I wasn't sure what was worse not knowing what was going on or listening to pirates sing the same song over and over again.
Another 15 minutes went by. By that point you couldn't here the song because everyone in the boat was talking to everyone else in their party.
At this point it got interesting. We saw two CM'S walk up to our boat and look around to see if they could fix the problem. Well they couldn't. Without saying a word the two CM's walked away from our boat.
Everyone in the boat was confused and our confusion got worse when we saw the two CM's come back to the boat... in boots and waders carrying sticks with hooks at the ends. At this point the two CM's finally started talking (one in french and one in english) explaining that they were going to get in the water and use the hooks to pull our boat as close as possible to well... land.
Eventually we were as close as we were going to get which was about two feet from the spot we were jumping to. One of the CMs stood on the opposite side of where our boat was and held his hand out. One by one everyone in our boat jumped across and one CM showed us to the emergency exit. Then left.
From there on we walked down 4-5 flights of stairs (with barely any light) and exited into the area of Disneyland Paris where the dumpsters are. Literally. It took about 5 minutes of wondering around until someone from our boat found the way out and showed everyone were it was. By then it was about an hour and a half later, so we called it a night and got McDonalds to talk back to the hotel. ~The End
