5 out of 5 stars
This is DEFIANTLY one of the best (if not the best) restaurants in Walt Disney World.
When you step inside you are transported into the 50's were elbows are kept off the table and you make sure you eat your vegetables! My cousin learned that the hard way when they actually refused to give him dessert until he had at least some of his vegetables. He was 17 at the time and it took 10 minutes until he ate one bite.
Anyways the restaurant comes complete with your distant aunts, uncles, and cousins (the wait staff) who cook you up a nice home cooked meal.
Nearly all of the tables have small TV screens next to them or above them which play black and white TV shows- including the original Mickey Mouse Club- complete with severely old Coke-a-Cola commercials.
The food is nothing less than delicious and has never been a let down. I mean somehow they make collared greens taste good. How is that possible?!?! But, if you ask me the absolute best food that they make is the fried chicken.
The kids menu is one of few anywhere that actually seems to have a variety and the light up non-alcholic drinks for kids are always a big hit and they don't have to be just for little ones. Strawberry Lemonade with light up Tinkerbell anyone?
All in all this restaurant is a must with walk ins 99% of the time. Of course always play it on the safe side and get a reservation. You don't want to be that 1 percent!
